  • 2. E-commerce itself stands for electronic commerce so in that case internet is needed in order to share information easily and promote businesses. I think it can be possible without the internet by billboards and other forms of advertisements. but the internet defiantly makes it easier.
  • 3. The 3 forms of E-commerce are: a) Business to buisness in which information systems in which a company handles transaction with other businesses. b) business to customer is transactions between a company and a individual. c)customer to customer are transactions between customers. Like ebay when they sell items to each other
  • 4. A intranet is a internal information system based on internet activities between individuals and departments within a organization. The purpose of intranets are for clients to be able to see information online which they request.
  • 5. 3 Ways companies use intranets are: a) to store information online so that clients may have access to this information for their own needs. b) with intranets easy distribution of information, team work and collaboration can take place between workers c) the intranet can be used for business transactions where people can purchase items online rahter then going to the stores
  • 6. A extranet is a private interorganizational information system. In this only a few intranets are connected to each other and this isn't open to anyone who wants in. It is specifically a private system. The purpose of this is to share information among only a certian group of people.
  • 7. Some of the issues a company must deal with to ensure a proper business with customers are: speed of transactions, ease of use, secure transactions and up to date product selection.
  • 8. Companies that engage in e-commerce must maintain a stable, secure, environmentally sound computer room for its web sites serves and other equipment.
  • 9. Some ethical issues which pop up with the use of e-commerce are: a) the statement of the organizations privacy policy b) the security of a person's statements c) a statement of how the company monitors or tracks users
